This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit our restaurant, use this website (shashwatshop.com) or order from us, and how we use and protect it, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Data we collect

• Contact details – your name and mobile number (and email, if you give it) when you place an order, book a table, request a bill on WhatsApp/email or contact us.
• Order details – items ordered, table number, bill amount, date and time, and your GSTIN if you ask for a GST invoice.
• Payment information – online payments are handled by Cashfree Payments. We receive only a transaction reference, payment status and payment method; we never receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or banking passwords.
• Feedback you choose to share with us.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not ask you to create an account.

2. Why we use it

• To accept, prepare and bill your order and to contact you about it.
• To process payments, refunds and cancellations.
• To issue tax invoices and keep accounting records required by GST and income-tax laws.
• To respond to your questions, complaints and feedback.
• To send offers by SMS, WhatsApp or email only if you have agreed; you can opt out at any time by replying STOP or writing to us.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share only what is necessary with:

• our payment gateway (Cashfree Payments) and banks, to process payments and refunds;
• our billing / accounting software provider and messaging providers, who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations;
• government authorities, where required by law.

4. How long we keep it

Bills and accounting records are kept for the period required under GST and tax laws (currently up to 8 years). Other personal data is deleted or anonymised once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, or when you withdraw consent, unless the law requires us to keep it.

5. Security

This website uses HTTPS encryption. Access to customer data in our systems is limited to authorised staff, protected by passwords, and payment processing follows PCI-DSS standards through our payment gateway.

6. Your rights

You may ask us to give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, erase it (subject to legal record-keeping), or withdraw consent for marketing messages. You may also nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to our Grievance Officer below; we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Children

Our online services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data of children under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian.
